Hi! People know me as Teddy. I’m non-binary & use they/them pronouns. I'm a member of the LGBTQIA+ and neurodiverse community and I love working with clients within that spectrum of identities.
I’m entering my 5th year of being a bodyworker, and I’m more in love with my job now than I ever have been. I have a passion for doing hands on healing work and genuinely look forward to showing up for my clients everyday. Whether it’s a frozen shoulder, a cranky hip, or chronic nervous tension, I am eager to show up for you and collaborate on your path toward wellness.
I love building genuine relationships with my clients and I honor being a trusted health care provider. I take seriously the responsibility of a client trusting me with their body and it’s story. I promise to always respect your limits and boundaries, as well as listen to your needs as thoroughly as possible.
I spent most of my younger life running a small organic farm where I grew food and flowers for my local community. I am a huge plant lover and spend most of my summers growing, tending, and harvesting edible and medicinal plants. I do my best to incorporate plant medicine into the treatment room by using salves, liniments, and body butters out of infused plants that I make during the growing season.
When I’m not in the treatment room serving my clients, I am likely either in the garden with the plants, in my garage working on house projects, or on the couch cuddling with my three cats.
Homebody is very much a nod to my own life as a homebody, and is also a gesture toward people who have had to survive in a disembodied state as a means of survival, for whatever reason. Whether you grew up masking and in the closet, or you’re surviving the stress of parenting or suffering from chronic overuse injuries from work, I offer my bodywork practice as a place that anyone can come to seek repair and recovery as they aim to lead a more integrated, joyous and embodied life.
